The beginning seemed like a good place to start off the forum. Answering the ‘why’ of even starting down the path I think is pretty important but also very personal. So I chose this quote from ‘Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind’ to help anyone just arriving on the doorstep decode the zen-speak that can be confusing in the beginning. But also for the seasoned practitioners to remember and share why they took those first steps at all and what they get out of a practice that says it has nothing to offer.
